Last Thursday, 4JJ performed their long awaited musical adaptation of the story of Beowulf, the legendary Anglo-Saxon warrior.
There were monsters, many battles, and an ultimately sticky ending for Beowulf. All the children performed and sang brilliantly – there are certainly some West End stars in the making!
A huge thank you to all the parents, carers and extended families that came to watch. Your support is always appreciated.
4KB put on a fantastic show for all of Blue hall (and their excited parents and carers) in their assembly on Thursday 19th January. They showcased their learning of Ancient Britain and told everyone about Roman soldiers, Celtic way of life and Boudicca’s revolt. There was even a talk show hosted by Maximus Vile! We ended with a our ‘Just Like a Roman’ song, which has been stuck in our heads ever since! We loved putting on this extravaganza for everyone and hoped you enjoyed it too.
Yesterday, the whole school dived head first into an Enabling Enterprise Challenge Day. The children were tasked with working in teams to build their own political party, including manifesto pledges, party stash and persuasive speech. Year 4 put on a superb performance of festive songs and poem recitals which put huge smiles on the faces of everyone watching them. Here are some pictures of them singing their socks off! Well done to each and every one of you, we were all incredibly proud of you.
As part of our Hinduism topic this half term in RE, we have been learning about Hindu gods and goddesses and the significance of the river Ganges to Hindus around the world. Take a look at these fabulous pieces of work by Halima, Sara, Martha and Ammara in 4EP.
James has drawn this picture of a Celtic farmer.
Max, Luigi and Julia have drawn Roman soldiers.
Here is the next set of homework, due in after the Christmas holidays.
